Is this the start of lucid dreaming?

Posted almost 9 years ago , by Carly Simoneaux

Okay so a few nights ago, I had just woken up to make my daughter a bottle and shortly after getting back in bed I fell in to a strange state. I felt like I was totally conscious of what was going on, but not able to control what was happening. It felt as though I was hovering over my bed, I could feel my eye Lids fluttering as I tried to wake up but I couldn't get out of it, it also felt like my entire body was tensing up. The next day, I called my mom to tell her about it and she said she experienced the same exact thing at the same time. She described it as her soul feeling like it was leaving her body. This was the first time this has ever happened to us and I feel like us experiencing it at the same time is rare. What exactly happened?

Hi Carly,

Welcome to the world of astral projection, the one which you experienced is not lucid dreaming, it is called as astral projection.

This happens to everyone everyday, but we will not be conscious enough to know that our astral body (soul in astral plane) is out of our body. There is nothing to worry about it. It might feel scared at the beginning, but trust me, there is nothing to get scared.

Let me explain the difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming.

Astral projection
Where you astral body or soul in astral plane gets separated from your physical body and floats out of your body.

Lucid dreaming
When you are dreaming, in the middle of a dream you will get to know that you are in a dream.

What should I do now?
You can go ahead and forget this experience and continue with you usual routine, but there are many people out there struggling to experience this from many years. But they couldn't. You are one of the lucky people out there who experienced astral projection.

I hope you understand what I am trying to tell. If you are interested you can start learning astral projection by will. There are many advantages which comes with astral projection. I will list out few below.

  1. You can fly out of your body and have fun
  2. You can strongly believe that life after death really exists.
  3. Know your past life and know the purpose of your existence.
  4. Meet your spirit guide to guide your life.
  5. Learning, you can learn anything you want while you are asleep.

These are just few things to list out, but there are literally million possibilities to improve your life and people around you, that too while you are asleep.

You can start learning here: Astral projection where to start?

Thanks,
Praveen

Hey Carly, It sounds like you are close to your mom. And no, it is not rare to act like your mother, especially being a mother yourself. My question is, why did you feel your body tensing? Relax. Have you had dreams before that had your mother in it?
Yes, when I have had a lucid dream, I would feel my surroundings and I guess I could say 'tensing,' but no. What you are describing is a 'tensing' as in pulling, maybe, since you mother says she had the same experience.
