Was it astral projection?

Hi! I don't know if anyone is still here but if you are, could you help me explain my experience? There was a time, when i was learning how to shift realities. One night, i went to bed and tried to shift. I closed my eyes, i concentrated on my goal but i wasn't actually concentrating on a specific place where i wanted to go, even tho i had one in mind. So after few minutes, i felt like i was starting to float, and before my eyes i saw first white light, then a cloud tunnel. I was going through that tunnel with high speed, and from time to time i saw thunders. And after one minute, i stopped going through tunnel and i found myself floating in a bright, cloudy space. But all around me, up and down, from both sides i saw many portals They looked like spinning clouds with dark hole inside them. I didn't know where i was or what i was supposed to do. I knew i wasn't dreaming so my first thought was that i had to wake up. And i don't know why, but i though that going through the portal under me, was going to "bring me back" to my body. So i dived in an oh boy, what happened next was a literal horror. I woke up in my bedroom but in my family house. But it was so dark around. It looked like a scene from upside down world from Stranger things. And i was laying on my bed but i couldn't move. And i saw dark figures walking past my bed. I was loosing my conscious a few times, waking up and passing out. And i just know, they were doing something with me, i could feel the touch. After some time i could finally move, and none was around. I got up from my bed and started to walk around the house. My family was inside but they couldn't hear me. I was screaming and crying. I was so panicked. And i remember that i had like a panic attack, and because of that i accidentally threw a picture from the table and my mom saw this and got scared but still couldn't see me. So i run to my bedroom i got into my bed, and i tried to go back the same way i went in. And i saw the same bright cloud tunnel, but no matter what i always ended up waking up in this scary world. I've tried soo many times that i don't even remember the exact number. I even tried to leave the house to look for anyone or anything that could help me, but as soon as i tried to leave, i passed out and woke up in bed. I was so scared i though I'm gonna stay there forever. But I've tried one last time, but this time i was extra concentrated on leaving. And i felt i was starting to float. But then suddenly something grabbed my leg and was pulling me down. I tried so hard, i kept pushing through with my mind and i finally saw the bright light and tunnel again. And i woke up in our real world. I was shaken up, i immediately went out of my room to share this with my roommate, my hands were shaking and i didn't go to sleep that night, because i was scared that i would go there again. When i was there, it felt like hours, maybe days but in reality only few minutes passed. It's been a year now and i since then i haven't tried to shift again because i was scared. Was it astral projection? If anyone is still here, can you explain this to me anyhow?

Hi, Joined this group recently and saw your post. Not sure if you received the help you were looking for. Nonetheless, I have been reading books on AP and Lucid dreaming and have had some experiences before so I will try to make sense of your experience.

The experience that you had, can be explained in different phases: You certainly had an Astral Projection. But, it was a faint one. So accidently you switched to remote viewing which is why you started moving between realities so quickly. I think at some point your sub-conscious mind was filled with fear as it is all so new for you. This is why you may have slipped into a lower dimension which is filled with entities that feed on fear (refer to the book on AP by Erin Pavlina). The second part of the post talks about panic attack. A panic attack during sleep is caused by sleep paralysis. You were desperately trying to get back into your physical body. If the transition was not complete then you will face sleep apnea or paralysis. There are ways to calmly get back to your physical body without panicking. Look it up (there are a lot of you tube videos today). I have faced this phenomenon before as a child and it was terrifying. But, it is a common occurrence if you are trying AP. If it has been a year since this experience and you are still thinking about it then you should research about it and do it the right way. it would give your closure and peace. take care!
