Meditation to perform Astral Projection

Posted almost 11 years ago , by Surfent

Astral projection is where your soul actually leaves your body. This is different from remote viewing where you enter into a trance and will yourself to a specific location. The following two meditations are just basic guidelines.

Meditation 1

This meditation feels weird. Just make sure you seriously want to project, otherwise, any hesitation can keep you in your body. You have to be relaxed, both mentally and physically. The first few times are the most difficult. Like with anything else, consistent practice will make this easier, until you no longer have to even enter into a deep trance, but can project any time at will. Some people find projecting easier than others, as they have done this in past lives.

1. Get real comfortable and go into a trance. When you are so relaxed you can no longer feel your body, you are ready. 2. Visualize your astral body inside your physical body, being held there by your seven chakras. The chakras can be visualized like colored knobs. 3. Take each spinning chakra and stop it from spinning and give it a quarter turn in the reverse of the direction it was spinning, like turning a doorknob. 4. Relax and let go and try to exit.

Meditation 2

This is more like a preparatory exercise. This one is not nearly as powerful as the one above, but less intense for those of you who would rather do this gradually.

  1. Lie down and relax, as above. Go into a trance. Relax to where you feel like you are floating.
  2. Now, lift your left astral arm up. Visualize this. You will need to imagine this, but energy follows where it is directed.
  3. Lift up your right astral arm and touch your face
  4. Touch both your astral hands together.
  5. Do the same thing with each leg and foot.
  6. Imagine your entire astral body floating above your physical body, or somewhere else in the room and concentrate on being there. Just lie there and focus on this for a while.
  7. Keep repeating this exercise often and eventually, astral projection will follow.

Talking about visualization,

In a normal state I guess I have a lot of difficulty on this one. I would like to know for people who are good on visualization: How does it look to you when you are creating a scene or whatever? Does it feel vivid?

For me it's always a lot less than vivid. I'd say 5% of waking state vivid. For example when I imagine a wall it's like it's night (no colors, barely a shape). Then I try to put some light on it and it's like I can imagine light and the wall (in a separate way), but I can't merge the light with the wall. The same goes to colors.

It gets better if I'm very concentrated or meditating, and inside a Lucid Dream for instance I can full visualize (but not making up things, but just getting what the LD provides me).

But just trying to force it doesn't work quite well. Please share your experience if you're good on visualization. If you have hints on how to improve it, please tell me too.

Hi TheOnePassingBy,
At starting stages of visualization, it won't be so vivid, It will be barely a thought or imagination of that particular thing which you are trying to visualize.
For example as you said, we shall consider the wall in front of us while we are practicing.
The first thing you visualize in your mind is just a rough sketch about the wall with nothing else than just 4 borders of that particular wall. when you start focusing more and more onto it, you start seeing some textures on that wall, don't try to implement your ideas on the wall like light or colour, It will by itself will gets the light and colour when you start focusing. Next you will start seeing some colors and light on that wall. many people get bored on the first stage where they visualize the rough sketch of the wall because they think they can't visualize the real wall. But everything needs a good practice.

You must focus onto the rough sketch which you have in mind, it automatically gets converted into real wall which finally looks like you are seeing it with open eyes. But only thing you have to do is focus, start focusing, say you are going to see the wall clearly, If you loose focus, start focusing again. You will surely see that wall very vivid. I will try to make a post in detail when I get some time. It will be helpful for people who are having difficulty in visualizing things.

Happy Travels,
Praveen

Hi there,
The more you practice visualizing the more easier it will be.
A thing from me
2 types of Visualizing C&E
For me as i visualize something , I don't get too much for astral projection , You might not fall for what you have prepared to be done , but something unexpected you have done [Sorry for English  :-]
1)My visualizing method for Astral Project [50% chance] : As mentioned in the thread , Lie down and feel your astral body , Tip: You don't need to try hard to visualize it, as long as you feel it coming , 2 Days ago i projected using the [Meditation 2] but not for long , Meditated for not more than 5 minutes i guess then got out of body for about 3 seconds, Got back probably Got excited and lost my concentration
2)Still Visualizing done [Meditation 1] , Got relaxed , followed all the instruction ,But unexpectedly opened my third eye for a while , I cant keep him open . I have known when you have opened your third eye , You must keep relaxed and concentrated in visualizing and thinking [Once you have failed to continue this , The vision will start to fade until it is closed] Headache and Migraine may occur if this happened on you first time
Also Learning now The: Invoking the 4 Elements ,Water,Earth,Fire,Wind [Still Performing and Reading thoroughly]
