magnesium l-threonate

The bottle of magnesium l-threonate that I bought said it has 100 capsules at 500 mg each. It said to take 4 capsules for a total of 2 grams. I took 2 capsules for 1 gram initially and had diarrhea all the next day. Even after I had emptied out, I couldn't stop. Magnesium is a laxative and this form is designed to absorb very rapidly. The next thing I did was wait two days and use 1 pill for 500 mg along with two chewable Tums at 750 mg of calcium. Calcium has the opposite effect. So it tamed the side effects even on nights when I took 2 pills of magnesium l-threonate and also doubled the Tums. Of all the supplements I have used to have lucid dreams, this is the only one that has worked more than once.

Tom, You name it, I tried it and failed. But some day I will learn.

The lucid dreams stopped, but the stomach discomfort continued. I have stopped taking this supplement. I have a feeling it would be best to only use it for a while from time to time. Not staying on it indefinitely.
