How do you know you are Lucid Dreaming??

How do you know you are Lucid Dreaming?? Almost every night I have vivid dreams and can remember almost all of it, but how do I know difference between a Lucid Dream and a Normal Dream?? Are you aware at least to some extent of what going on at the time??

Thanks in advance.

You notice that your lucid when your able to control your environment with your thoughts, a normal dream is a dream without control or an awareness it just happens and we sometimes don't remember them(I think we dream every night it's having an awareness which is what meditation teaches you). For me i have been able to dream every night when i meditate to sleep what i do is i concentrate on my breath and observe my self breathing and then every time i exhale i say breathing (say it with your mind). Once your u notice your dreaming, there are little things you need to take note off you have to notice the little things you do sometimes you change your dreams with thoughts without noticing you have notice these little things. For me once i notice im able to do things, i loose control(don't get too excited: you will loose control). This also strengthens your will power and after that you can even astral project through lucid dreaming.

cyberblade, If you haven't already, look up LAW OF ATTRACTION.

So is being Lucid just like walking around in physical but with the added dream world stuff??

If you have a lucid dream you know that you are dreaming and that the things that happen are not "real" even though they seem to be very real. They are made up of "thoughts". But if you would feel a wall it would feel rigid like a wall. But if you would try a little harder you can find out that the wall only looks like a wall, because you "think" it is a wall. But if you let go of this thinking you can actually feel that a wall becomes jelly and you can finally go through this wall. This is really amazing to try .

Every time I realize "I am in the dream world" is again a wonderful surprise. I am always surprised how "real" this dream world looks like and how feelings are so much intense than in everyday life. Being aware in a dream gives you opportunities to explore your "inner world". What do you feel and what do your fear. How does the world look like, how do others act. It will all tell something about yourself. But be aware, your darkest fears become real also!!

Enjoy your dreams!!

yes as little star explained it's all just a thought the purpose of lucid dreams is to discover your limitation and to overcome them, solve problems find inner peace and more.
