The Key to ALL Astral Projection Techniques/Methods

Posted over 11 years ago , by Xanth

I wrote this for my own blog a while ago, I'd like to share it here for everyone.  :)

Someone posted a PDF on the Astral Pulse tonight showing 66 different Astral Projection techniques.

The thing is that they’re not 66 different techniques. They’re the same technique with 66 slight variations. Well, that is, the ones that you do while consciously awake. There are ones listed where you initiate them from a lucid awareness experience in the non-physical.

It’s a great write-up and all, but I think it’s more important for people to understand WHY each of those techniques work.

I’d encourage people to take a bunch of techniques they read about (here or wherever) and try to break them down into their base parts. Try to figure out makes the technique tick. Here’s a hint… they’re all asking you to do the EXACT SAME THING just in slightly different ways.

Ok that wasn’t so much of a hint as telling you. LoL

Just about every technique incorporates Visualization or Mental Concentration/Focus in some way as a method of fixating your awareness away from the Physical. That’s it… that’s the entire secret. That’s what took me over 10 years to figure. I use this concept to create my own visualizations and you can use this knowledge to further help yourself to project.

There’s nothing mystical or magical about any of this and most importantly: ANYONE CAN DO IT.

That's true Xanth. The basics are all the same in all the techniques :)
But how we do it matters :)

I would agree with you on that visualization stuff. and if you suck at it than how do you get out. I have a float tank and I feel I can get to the perfect state quite easily and then I find myself at a dead end because I feel I should be able to get out yet nothing seems to work. the rope thing just doesnt do it for me. or being pulled out. visualizing another location in your house.

I've always wanted to try one of those tanks.
Is it a personal one you have?  How do you like it?

yes it is my tank. it took me about 4 months to build it.  I never floated until I used my own tank. it took me awhile to get used to it but now I feel I can reach the desired state in about 10-15 min. i do think the tank is the perfect enviroment to project from.  but I have not been successful in having my first AP yet. I seem to get have run into a dead end. I reach a point where my whole body is just gone and I am completely in my head and then I started to just let go of my thoughts and fall backwards into the mind and it feels really wierd and cool at the same time and at that moment I start to hear things moving around like footsteps and other sounds. and I can get these other sounds every time I do this technique. the sounds only last about 5-10 seconds though.
