when i was talking seroquel, i spontaneously started feeling vibrations and got sleep paralysis whenever i went to sleep but my mind was awake during that time. however i never got to startal projecting because of fear. i always managed to somehow wake my body up cuz i was so scared of that feeling of being paralised and feeling vibrations. i knew what astral projecting was but when it happened to me it was the last thing i wanted to experience. i dont take seroquel anymore, actually, i only took it for like 2 or 3 days and then stopped because of this. i couldnt fall asleep. my mind was always awake while my body fell asleep. it happened to me like 4 or 5 times in a row when i was trying to fall asleep.
and what i was trying to say is, now i just read an article about astral projection and i got kinda interested in it and it reminded me of what was happening to me when taking the seroquel. yesterday i tried to astral project but it was like i couldnt relax my body enough to make it fall asleep while my mind would be awake and i could astral project and i finally just fell asleep. i knew thigh might happen to me so i took 2 mg xanax to relax but it didnt change the results. what do you do to relax your body
I advice you not to take any drugs to relax your body, we don't take any drugs to relax our body. just feel your body inch by inch, you will fell asleep easily or you can just count 100 to 1 (reverse order). This may help you to relax your body easily.
You can use relaxation techniques mentioned here http://www.forumforastral.com/techniques-and-help-to-meditate/meditation-tips
You can easily relax without drugs, let me know if you need a technique or if you can find one yourself.
I think the problem is getting dependant on drugs to do it plus any damge you might be getting, and trust me, it is easy to get both without knowing.
at the current situation i am finding it very hard to relax my body and astral project. i always just keep lying in the bed trying to relax my body, counting from 99 to 1, but I always end up falling asleep.
i can remember when i was a kid, i used to sleep either at the right or left side of my body and whenever i decided to sleep on the back for some reason, it felt kinda strange and i started feeling those vibrations and wouldn't feel but because of my fear of what was happening to me, i managed to wake my body up somehow.
now a similar thing happened to me when being a few days on seroquel, but i don't want to try it again, as the medication has a lot of other side effects like muscle twitching and feeling zombie-like.
during the past yers i got used o sleeping on the back so now its nothing strange to me so i cant recall the situation of getting vibrations that used to happen to me as a kid no matter how hard i try. for the past days, i tied many times to get to the phase where you feel your body is getting numb and your mind is still awake at the same time, but i always fell asleep
any suggestions what to do? i have read the thread about relaxation techniques, but for now none of them seems to be helping much
http://iso-tones.com/ Check out this site, download the "Relax" tone (right click on the link and select, "Save link as" to download the file), and just listen to it before you try to project, preferably with headphones but I think you can use a stereo if you want to.
You can't relax because your mind is getting in the way sweetie.... You would be better just to suggest you will leave your body and then go onto just regularly falling to sleep... You mind already knows what you want to do so when that moment comes when you are drifting, your mind will tell you that you are but be careful not to get excited and wake yourself to where you will have to try and fall asleep again... It is more about training your mind to relax... we relax naturally when we don't have a purpose in mind.... Our minds are active even when trying to relax our bodies... mind and body goes hand in hand so you can't have one relax and not the other and expect it will work..... I think peoples problem is they try to hard as I was there, only when I stopped and put suggestions in my mind did it start to work.... Now this is only my opinon from expererience... I do not claim to know anything professionally... experience though is the best teacher... I hope what ever method you choose that you travel!!! It is quite exciting!
