Hi everyone I am new here and just starting to get into meditation and such.
I have a high stress job and adhd, I was told meditation could help one both of those things. My girlfriend has also experienced astral projection and lucid dreaming once but had trouble reproducing them and stopped trying for a while.
My experience, I started in bed with the general straight body arms at your side. I then let all of my body go loose, and started concentrating on one body part at a time. I started with my legs and a few minutes in a felt a warm sensation in my ankle area, I found that I could move this warm sensation by moving my focus to another part of my body. While this was happening my mind would periodically daydream and it felt so real but every time I realized I was daydreaming it ended and I went back to concentrating on my body.
Shortly after I came aware that my body felt heavy! at least 2 timed heavier then normal in bed. I again went back to concentrating on my body and all the different sensations. Shortly after this I started to feel a very low frequency vibration throughout my whole body, it then started to get faster. This is where it got weird, I felt like a lifting motion, almost like i was being pulled up it would only last a second or two and then I would be sucked back down and a few seconds later the lifting motion returned.
After a while of this I called it quits and moved my arm only to find that and hour and a half had passed!
Can anyone help me understand what was happening so maybe I can get a better idea on how to push forward from this experience.
