I'll Tell you some of the simple Tips on how to Meditate & to realize yourself and reach your goals easily.

There are so many people who say that the meditation is just to decrease your blood pressure, keeping your mind calm, controlling your health and lots more. These are some of the very very tiny things you can do by Meditating. There are lots more which you can do by Meditation.

Let me give you some 5 simple Meditation Techniques to find yourself.

1. Keep Attention to your Body and Start Relaxation

firstly you have to focus your attention to your body. Fell all your body parts like starting with the tip of your toe to your head. Feel every part of your body for at least for 5-10 seconds, Feel it. This technique lets you make Relax all your body parts and to Relax yourself, You can use some other relaxation techniques if you know. If you find any tension in your body, just be aware of those but don't try to control it, Just let it go. Just be aware of tension that of your body parts and start the feeling other parts.

By this technique you can completely relax your body. Your body gets relaxed completely when you finish feeling from the tip of toe to your head. Just accept the body as it is, don't try to control any parts. Learn to listen to your body, and allow it to tell you what it likes, Just say okay for all your body asks. Whether you Experience pleasant or unpleasant sensation or tensions or anything that happens.

If thoughts arise just let go of them gently and get into the relaxation process again.

2. Focus Your Breathing

By the previous effort you have made your body as your friend, Now try to put some effort to make your breathing as your friend. Do not control your breathing, Just Breath naturally, Focus your attention where you feel the sensation of your breath in your body. When You are inhaling, be aware that you are inhaling. When you exhale, be aware that you are exhaling.

It's natural that thought arise while you focus on the breathing, Don't try to control your thoughts, Just try to gently let go the thoughts, Come back to the present, Just be with what's happening, Focus only on your breathing. What ever you experience - calmness, Feeling peaceful, restless, Just be aware of that state of mind. Focus more on your breathing, If you get success your Breathing becomes a part of your Meditation.

3. Work with Emotions

The third technique is to experience your tensions, anxieties, fear, sadness and so on. While you are working with emotions try to focus your attention on other things as well, You can hear to the sounds you hear, the sensation in your body, feel the tiny tiny sensation that you feel from your surrounding and from your body. Learn to be aware of things that are happening while you are experiencing an emotion. The emotion will still be there, But focus on you surrounding will makes emotions part of your landscape and it won't affect you so much or it won't grip you so much. So whatever you do, makes friends with that, feel it, don't try to control it. The emotions arise and passes away, you are not the owner of those emotion, it's just a state of mind, do not consider these emotions as My Anger, My tension My fear. they are just Anger, Tension and Fear. They are not yours.

4. Awareness

Try this in any posture you like to. At this time Allow your thoughts to arise, Thoughts of the past & the future. Observe these thoughts as someone's thoughts, Observe these as it doesn't belongs to you. If you are getting involved with these thoughts, If you are judging the thoughts, just try to know what's happening, Note the difference between being an observer and being involved with those thoughts. Making friends with your thoughts, create some space for your thoughts by allowing any thoughts to arise, and observing how to react to those thoughts. Whatever emotion is arising, don't let those stay in mind, and do not want it to go away, Just be at one with those emotions. Learn to see things as they are, not as they should.

5. Understanding Yourself and Forgiveness

The last exercise in meditation is understanding yourself. See how far you can soften yourself, Accepting yourself as you are, Without what you should become, making friends with who you are. Then, can you extend that friendship, gentleness and softness even with those who have hurt you & disappointed you. By learning to accept our common human nature. Learn to forgive your own mistakes of your past, not holding guilt. Learn to accept yourself as you are and learn to accept others as they are. Don't have any image of how you and they should be. Learn to be gentle to yourself and to others.

It is fun to try to stop this thinking. This inner dialog keeps us from being able to be quiet within. It is really a good feeling if you are able to stop this thinking and find the peace and quietness withing. If the everyday world become to much and too stessed I just focus on the quietness and then for a moment things look different.

best wishes
Sandra

HI
I am new to your board so you will not had seen me on here, so here i have been told to join the board by a friend who has been here in the past. i a question i have for you the reason i have joined the board is here I have tried meditation and had some success with it however i seem to fall asleep so not got to the real part yet i think.
i have been attuned to reiki but have no reiki in my hands but what has happened is that if i meditate or stare at a object long enough i feel a vibration in my body and a buzing in my head then my hands get hot but when i touch them they are not hot to the touch i assume this is reiki for some reason comeing through as i have felt this after being attuned but normaly i dont feel this .
I then feel very peaceful and i for some reason feel good staring at the same object and sometimes not always now this is the part that gets me i seem to lift up to the ceiling where i have been staring i can look around while im having this happen but as soon as i move myself i am back down and not feeling anything different has this anything to do with out of body or is this meditation at work .
When this first happened i felt a little scared as i was lifting up but i let it happen and yes it felt good maybe this is why i didnt panick at this time can you throw some lite on this for me it has been naging me for some time by the way i cant make this happen now and then it does but i dont know how to make this happen

You are really lucky to have the out of body through Astral Projection at least once, because so many people trying here to experience at least when they are asleep, having out of body experience through Mediation is the hardest I think, because I had tried but didn't experience, so rolled back to Astral projection through sleep & experienced it easily.

The buzzing & vibration are common when leaving out of body..

You can try Astral projection through sleep for easy out of body experience.

Light a herbal incense while meditating, incense is an important tool which can help awareness as well as promote energy and concentration. The presence of incense creates a favorable atmosphere which calms the mind and makes it suitable for enjoying the meditative experience.

michvs, I totally agree with the comments of Praveen and Darklon above. It sounds like you had an OBE from a conscious state of trance. That is the way that I do it, although most people find it easier when still drowsy from waking up.

This is a great post!  Always when I would go lucid/astral/whatever it was through meditation.  It's funny because when I found it wasn't working anymore and I started looking around for some new techniques to try I was actually surprised that I didn't find anything like what I was doing.  I was like, "wait, I have to set an alarm and get up in the night?  Am I doing something wrong?!"  I was just so totally clueless that I thought that everyone must do it this way.  For me I could do this at any time from a completely wakeful state.  I would just lay down and go through my steps and whooosh...off I'd go.  It's nice to see that someone else has had this same type of experience.  When I would go through on purpose through the meditation state, I never really felt the sleep paralysis because it always seemed really quick and seamless...but in hindsight I'll say that it just felt like for a second or two...hardly noticeable even...sometimes I'd tense right when I went through but it literally just gave me the feeling of moving forward at a faster speed for that second...and not like actual paralysis at all...but now I'm sure it must have been.  Did you notice this at all?  That you weren't really aware of any paralysis?  I know now through learning more that the paralysis is a necessary step, but at the time I had no idea about any of that.  Did you experience it this way without the feeling of paralysis?  I'm so curious!  After I had been doing this for awhile I started having separate experiences where I'd lay down for a nap and instantly get the paralysis and go through.  These were different from the meditation ones, and they scared the crap out of me because I had no idea what was going on or that it was the same thing happening...because my purposeful experiences never had that feeling!  Haha  :) . It was totally new to me this way and if I'd known then what I know now I would have attempted to have some control...the feeling of the paralysis was just so foreign to me that I didn't know what to do!  I haven't seen too many others who have used this sort of meditation technique, and I'd love to know more about how it felt or if you had any inkling of the paralysis.  I hope you keep with it, because it's a great way to get there if you can manage it!  I always had total clarity.  It's the only way that I could get there with that much clarity, actually.  Good luck!
